Billing
Shopify Billing, plans, overage and cancellation -- everything about billing.
How does billing work?
ShopiPixel is billed entirely through Shopify Billing. This means:
- Costs appear directly on your Shopify invoice
- No separate payment method required
- No credit card needed for ShopiPixel
- Transparent billing through your Shopify account

Agency & Multi-Store Billing
The Enterprise plan enables multi-store management through a two-step consent flow. The legal basis for the data sharing with the agency owner is the shop owner's consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The consent is recorded in the consent log pursuant to Art. 7(1) GDPR:
- The Enterprise owner invites up to 3 stores into the agency dashboard
- The invited shop owner actively confirms the link in the in-app dialog and individually selects from 14 permissions
- Linked stores use the owner's plan (usesOwnerBilling) — events count toward the shared owner quota (100K)
- Two link types: Agency-managed (service provider manages a third-party shop) or Self-owned organization (multiple stores of the same controller)
What happens when the link is withdrawn?
The shop owner can end the link at any time in settings (Art. 7(3) GDPR). A store that was paid exclusively through the agency link automatically falls back to the FREE plan. Events continue to be sent (within Free limits), platform credentials are preserved, history and audit log remain fully accessible.
Free Trial
All paid plans (Starter, Growth, Scale, Enterprise) include a 14-day free trial. During the trial, you have full access to all features of the chosen plan.
After the trial ends, the plan is automatically billed through Shopify Billing. You can cancel anytime before that.
No overage charges apply during the trial, even if you exceed the plan limit. Overage rules only take effect after the trial ends.
Upgrading or downgrading
- Open ShopiPixel in Shopify Admin
- Go to Billing (or click on the plan banner)
- Select the new plan
- Confirm the change
With an upgrade, features are unlocked immediately. The price difference is calculated pro-rata.
With a downgrade, the new plan becomes active at the next billing period. Until then, you keep the features of the higher plan.
Overage (Limit Exceeded)
When you reach the order limit of your plan, you have two options:
Option 1: Upgrade plan
Switch to a higher plan with more orders and additional features.
Option 2: Activate overage
On paid plans, you can activate overage:
- Cost: tiered by plan -- Starter $76, Growth $39, Scale $13, Enterprise $4 per 1,000 orders
- Overage is billed at the end of the billing period
- You'll be notified at 80% via email and in-app banner. At 100%, the notification is always shown. You can disable 80% notifications in the overage settings.
- Overage is not available on the Free plan
Activate overage: ShopiPixel App > Billing > Overage.
Every completed order for which a Purchase event is sent is counted. Test orders and cancelled orders are not counted.
Cancellation
You can cancel ShopiPixel at any time:
- Go to Shopify Admin > Settings > Apps and sales channels
- Search for "ShopiPixel"
- Click Uninstall app
- Confirm the uninstallation
Upon cancellation:
- The current billing period is not refunded
- Your platform credentials and tracking data will be automatically deleted within 30 days
- Platform credentials are immediately invalidated for security reasons (no further data is sent) and fully deleted within 30 days — for OAuth platforms (currently Google Ads) the refresh token is additionally revoked at the provider
- Within this 30-day window, you can reinstall the app and tracking data will be preserved (plan is reset to FREE, platforms must be reconnected)
- Events will no longer be sent
- If you reinstall the app later, you will need to reconnect your platforms
- The Free plan is permanently free with no obligations
View invoices
Since billing runs through Shopify, you can find all invoices in your Shopify account:
