Updates

New features, integrations and improvements. We continuously develop ShopiPixel.

08/13/2026v3.33

Purchases with no order value reach every platform

Zero-value purchases are reported too

Purchases with an order value of 0 — for example fully redeemed gift cards or free items — are reported to every platform you have connected, with a value of 0 and your store's currency. Every purchase appears in your conversion count, regardless of the amount.

07/23/2026v3.32

Order form tracking outside the checkout (e.g. cash on delivery)

Orders without the Shopify checkout become measurable too

For shops whose customers buy via an order form and skip the Shopify checkout (e.g. for cash on delivery), there is now an optional theme extension. Once activated in the theme editor, such orders are also sent to your connected advertising platforms with browser identity and consent — provided the end customer has given marketing consent. Setup is guided and available in onboarding as well as in the tracking settings.

07/22/2026v3.31

Order quota counts only from a connected platform

Quota counts only with a connected platform

Orders are counted against your order quota only once at least one advertising platform is connected and send-capable. Without a connected platform, your quota stays untouched.

07/03/2026v3.30

Plan downgrade: platform connections adjust to your new plan

Platform connections follow your plan

When you switch to a lower plan, ShopiPixel automatically adjusts your active platform connections to the scope of the new plan: platforms no longer covered by the new plan are disconnected. The change takes effect at the next billing period — on a later upgrade you reconnect the affected platforms once.

06/26/2026v3.29

More standard events and finer platform mapping

Cart views as a dedicated ViewCart event

When a visitor opens their cart, ShopiPixel now captures this as a dedicated ViewCart event and reports it separately to your advertising platforms. This lets you clearly distinguish cart views from product views in the platforms' reporting.

New standard events: category view, shipping step and Lead

Category views (ViewCategory), the shipping step in checkout (AddShippingInfo) and Lead events are now captured as dedicated standard events and — wherever the platform offers a matching standard event — mapped per platform. On Pinterest, the events are assigned to Pinterest's dedicated standard events.

Optionally forward Lead events to your advertising platforms

Form leads can optionally be forwarded to your advertising platforms as a Lead conversion. The feature is disabled by default, can be enabled per shop and only applies when marketing consent is present.

Cancellations with a single, clear signal

Cancellations and refunds are reported to your advertising platforms with a single, clear correction signal. This keeps the conversion values in the platforms clean and easy to follow.

06/25/2026v3.28

Better matching for your conversions — plus a new signal for visitors without consent

Consent Mode modeling as an opt-in (Google)

For visitors who haven't granted marketing consent, you can enable an anonymous signal to Google in settings — with no personal data and no IP address. Google uses it to estimate aggregated conversions (Google Consent Mode Modeling). The feature is disabled by default and only applies when you explicitly turn it on.

More precise conversion matching

ShopiPixel passes richer matching signals to the advertising platforms: even without a recognized customer, a stable pseudonymous identifier is sent per event, phone numbers are captured across more checkout fields, and hashed contact attributes (Enhanced Conversions) are sent to Google Analytics 4. This improves cross-platform matching of your conversions.

06/22/2026v3.27

Test mode: verify your setup safely — without skewing your numbers

Test mode with a single switch

A new test mode switch in the tracking settings lets you verify your setup safely. While it is active, ShopiPixel treats every purchase as a test, marks it with a TEST hint on the Events page and excludes it from revenue, conversions and ad conversions — your numbers and the optimization of your ad campaigns stay clean. At the same time, you verify your setup platform by platform: where the platform offers a test tool (e.g. Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, GA4) your test shows up there, and for the rest ShopiPixel confirms readiness right inside the self-test under "Check your setup". For live operation, disable test mode again.

06/15/2026v3.26

Connect Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn with your own credentials too

Manual connection as an alternative to OAuth

Alongside the one-click OAuth connection, you can now also set up Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn manually with your own credentials — for example with a Conversions/Events API token from your platform. This lets you set up conversion tracking even when you prefer not to use OAuth. Ad spend import and audience synchronization remain reserved for the OAuth connection.

06/12/2026v3.25

Guided consent setup with live test

Check your consent banner right in onboarding

Onboarding now guides you through setting up your cookie banner: you open your store, accept the banner, and ShopiPixel detects the consent signal automatically — green on success, with a clear note when no signal arrives. The dashboard also shows an anonymous block rate that measures, without cookies and without any link to individual visitors, how many page views are not captured because a banner is missing, plus a reminder if a banner is absent.

06/09/2026v3.24

Connect Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn with one-click OAuth

One-click OAuth for four more platforms

You now connect Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn with one-click OAuth — just like Google Ads and Microsoft Ads already. You click "Connect", authorize ShopiPixel, and then pick your ad account, pixel and conversion rule from dropdowns. The connection stays active permanently and refreshes itself automatically in the background.

05/31/2026v3.23

Dashboard chart shows revenue, page views and conversions over time

Performance chart on the Dashboard

The Dashboard chart now displays revenue, page views and conversions together over time — revenue as bars, page views as an area, conversions as a line, with separate axes for count and amount. Available on the Dashboard for the time periods supported by your plan.

05/30/2026v3.22

Customer Journey shows reach per stage and drop-offs

Reach model with drop-off branches in the funnel Sankey

The Customer Journey Sankey now shows the reach of each stage (how many journeys reached it) and the drop-offs after each stage as separate branches. Refunds are displayed as a separate branch off the purchase node. This lets you see at a glance where your customers leave the funnel. Available on the Dashboard and in the Agency multi-store funnel.

05/29/2026v3.21

Interactive Sankey visualization for the Customer Journey

Interactive Sankey rendering of the funnel paths

The Customer Journey now displays the paths through the funnel as an interactive Sankey diagram. Available on the Dashboard and in the Agency multi-store funnel.

05/21/2026v3.20

Audience Sync — customer segment sync for six advertising platforms

Synchronization of hashed customer segments to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, Microsoft Ads and Snapchat

Audience Sync synchronizes hashed customer segments to six advertising platforms — Meta Custom Audiences, Google Ads Customer Match (via the Google Data Manager API), TikTok Custom Audiences, Pinterest Customer Lists, Microsoft Ads Customer List audiences and Snapchat Segments. Only hashed identifiers are transmitted; segments only include buyers for whom you, as the store owner, have obtained marketing consent via your cookie banner. Available from the Enterprise plan.

05/19/2026v3.19

Platform-attributed ROAS per campaign

Conversions reported by the advertising platform, per campaign

In addition to the imported ad spend, ShopiPixel now also takes over the conversion values and counts reported by each advertising platform (e.g. Meta, Google Ads) according to its own attribution logic, per campaign. From these, a platform-attributed ROAS per campaign is calculated — both as a drilldown in the per-shop dashboard and in the cross-shop view for agencies. The value is clearly labelled as platform-attributed (source: the respective advertising platform) and uses a different methodology than the funnel dashboard; the two values may therefore differ. If a platform does not report a conversion value for a campaign, "n/a" is shown instead of an estimated value. Available from the Scale plan.

05/16/2026v3.18

Cohort and LTV analysis now available without the pixel

Cohorts and customer lifetime value for shops using webhook-only tracking

Cohort and LTV analysis was previously only available to shops with an active browser pixel. From now on, shops that use server-side webhook tracking exclusively (without the pixel) also receive the first-purchase-month breakdown and customer lifetime value. Customers are grouped solely via a non-reversible pseudonymous key — the email address is never stored. The analysis takes orders from 05/16/2026 onward into account; earlier orders from before that date cannot be included retroactively for data protection reasons.

05/11/2026v3.17

Trial period visible in the dashboard

Day counter and reminder email for the 14-day trial period

During the 14-day free trial of a paid plan, the remaining time is now prominently shown in the dashboard, in the billing settings and in onboarding. Three days before the trial ends, you also receive a reminder email so you can decide in time whether to remain on the paid plan or cancel beforehand. After the trial ends, the plan automatically converts to a paid subscription — as described in the Terms § 3.3 — and the first charge occurs only then.

05/10/2026v3.16

Refund and cancellation tracking automated

Eight advertising platforms now see refunds, cancellations and order edits

Whenever an order is refunded, cancelled or subsequently edited, ShopiPixel now automatically propagates the correction to Meta, Google Ads, Google Analytics 4, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Microsoft Ads and Klaviyo. Smart-bidding algorithms and lookalike models therefore see the same data basis as your shop back-end — no more optimization against revoked conversions. LinkedIn is intentionally skipped because the LinkedIn Conversions API currently does not provide a correction interface (data minimization).

Bidirectional multi-source reporting

Revenue reporting is now built on a unified source-of-truth architecture. Conversions from webhooks, pixel, headless SDK and the public REST API are merged consistently — even if a channel briefly goes offline, the revenue total stays correct. For Klaviyo, an order identifier is sent as a pseudonym instead of the email address on the correction path (data minimization).

Mobile install bug fixed

An edge case during the initial install from the Shopify mobile app occasionally produced an empty onboarding screen. The path is now robust against all initial-auth variants.

05/08/2026v3.15

Public REST API available

Official server-to-server interface for Enterprise customers

Three new endpoints (GET /api/v1/events, POST /api/v1/events single+bulk, GET /api/v1/stats) with Bearer token authentication. API keys are generated under /app/settings/api. Bulk inserts up to 100 events per request, multi-currency statistics aggregated in store currency. Detailed documentation at /documentation#api, code examples in cURL, Node.js, Python and PHP at /help/api. Available on the Enterprise plan.

04/22/2026v3.14

Enhanced Matching for Offline Deals

Higher match rate for cold deals without an ad click

When offline deals are transmitted to the advertising platforms, the hashed contact data (email and phone number) is now additionally used for a direct match against each platform's user base. This means deals without a prior ad click (e.g. cold phone inquiries) can now also be attributed to the correct campaigns. No plaintext is transmitted, legal basis Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The privacy policy and DPA have been updated accordingly — active Enterprise shops will receive a separate notification. Available on the Enterprise plan.

04/21/2026v3.13

Offline Deals, Event Triggers and Shopify Flow Action

Offline Deals — B2B tracking for phone and email conversions

Capture phone and email deals and send them as offline conversions to nine ad platforms (all except GA4). Click IDs from the last 90 days are matched (gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid, msclkid, ttclid, epik, scid, liFatId), per-platform lookback filters respect each platform's limits (Meta 7 days, Google Ads 90 days, TikTok 180 days). Available on the Enterprise plan.

Event Triggers — no-code custom events with a platform event picker

A five-step wizard per custom event: connect your events with platform-specific event codes across eight platforms, including Meta with 17 standard events, Google Ads GAQL conversion actions and Microsoft Ads conversion goals. Smart defaults suggest the right mapping automatically, Shopify webhooks can be mapped as triggers for ten topics. Available on the Enterprise plan.

Shopify Flow Action — native workflow integration

ShopiPixel shows up as a custom action right inside the Shopify Flow editor. Configure the custom event to send in an embedded configuration page and tap into the full event pipeline with platform router and consent checks — including replay protection that reliably sends identical flow retries only once. Available on the Enterprise plan.

04/16/2026v3.12

Automatic data deletion after uninstallation

GDPR Art. 17 — Automatic deletion

Shop data is automatically deleted within roughly 48 hours after app uninstallation (Shopify sends the deletion request about 48 hours after uninstallation), at the latest after 30 days. This includes tracking data, platform credentials, configurations and statistics. Encrypted backups are deleted within 30 days. Platform credentials are immediately invalidated for security reasons (no further data is sent) — for OAuth platforms (currently Google Ads) the refresh token is additionally revoked at the provider. Legally required retention data (billing data, audit logs) is exempt.

04/14/2026v3.11

Microsoft Ads: Full integration with server-side tracking

1-click OAuth connection

The Microsoft Ads integration has been completely overhauled. Instead of manually entering the UET Tag ID and CAPI token, you now connect Microsoft Ads via the official OAuth flow (Azure AD). Customer, account and UET Tag are read automatically.

Offline Conversions API instead of pilot CAPI

Purchase events are sent server-side via the official Microsoft Offline Conversions API — available for every Microsoft Ads customer, no pilot access required. Attribution via msclkid and Enhanced Conversions (SHA256-hashed email and phone) for users without a click ID.

UET JavaScript Tag in the Web Pixel

PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart and InitiateCheckout run via the UET JavaScript Tag in the Shopify Web Pixel and populate remarketing lists in the Microsoft Audience Network.

Migration of existing customers

Shops using the older Microsoft Ads configuration (UET Tag ID + CAPI token) must reconnect once. The settings area shows a "Connect with Microsoft" button for this purpose. All other platform configurations remain unchanged.

05/01/2026v3.10

Privacy Policy clarified: Agency data catalog

§ 3.6j expanded

The catalog of data exchanged between sub-store and agency owner in the agency context is now fully named in § 3.6j of the Privacy Policy: shop owner contact email, sub-store platform configuration (without the credentials themselves), and event/quota usage. Existing shop owners must actively accept the new version.

05/01/2026v3.9

Terms §4.14 added: Agency/Multi-Store Usage

New contractual section

§4.14 governs the contractual aspects of agency and multi-store features: authorization of the agency owner (§§ 164, 167 German Civil Code), owner billing as joint debt (§ 421 BGB), automatic termination upon the agency owner's plan loss (§ 158(2) BGB) and liability under § 278 BGB. A clarification on multi-shop operations by the same merchant is also added. Existing users must actively re-accept the Terms.

04/24/2026v3.8

Agency Consent Flow: Two-stage opt-in with granular permission delegation

Two-stage opt-in

Agency links are only established after active confirmation by the shop owner. The owner sends an invitation, the shop owner confirms in the in-app dialog with a full overview of all shared data.

15 delegatable permissions

The shop owner individually selects from 15 permission categories which tasks to delegate to the agency owner — from read-only statistics to full access to credentials, audiences and debug console.

Two link types

Distinction between 'agency-managed' (service provider as further recipient pursuant to Art. 4(9) GDPR, not a sub-processor) and 'own organization' (multi-shop operation with the same controller). Legal basis for the data sharing: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). This release includes a substantial DPA update (v10, 2026-04-24) — existing shops will be prompted to accept the new DPA via the legal update notification.

Right to revoke at any time

The shop owner can end the link at any time in the settings (Art. 7(3) GDPR). The revocation takes effect immediately — all actions of the agency owner are transparent in the shop's own audit log.

Social Media & Privacy Update

Facebook Page

ShopiPixel is now on Facebook. Follow us for product updates, tracking tips and news.

Privacy Policy Extended

New section 3.12 "Social Media Presence" added. Transparent information about joint controllership with Meta for Page Insights (Art. 26 GDPR).

February 2026v2.1

Data Quality & Webhook Validation

Cross-Platform Event Deduplication

Platforms like Meta, TikTok, and Pinterest now receive a shared event ID for browser and server events. This allows platforms to recognize identical conversions and avoid double counting — even when the event arrives through both channels.

Webhook Payload Validation

All incoming Shopify webhooks are now structurally validated. Malformed payloads are detected, logged, and discarded — instead of causing unpredictable behavior.

ViewCategory Statistics

The dashboard now also captures ViewCategory events (category pages). This makes the complete customer funnel visible from category view to purchase.

Improved Google Consent Mode v2

Consent signals are now transmitted to Google Analytics 4 with every event — not just when advanced Consent Mode is enabled. Google always receives the correct consent status.

February 2026v2.0

Pixel Resilience & Health Monitoring

Pixel Health Monitoring

Automatic detection when the web pixel stops working — with dashboard banner and email notification.

Auto-Switch & Recovery

If the pixel is down for an extended period, tracking automatically switches to Webhook-Only. Once the pixel starts sending again, Dual-Track is automatically restored.

Failure Rate Tracking

Real-time monitoring of pixel error rate with proactive anomaly detection.

February 2026v1.9

Extended Integrations & Stability

Extended LinkedIn Integration

LinkedIn now supports 7 event types instead of 3: Purchase, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, ViewContent, Search, Lead and CompleteRegistration. This means significantly more conversions are reported to LinkedIn.

More Reliable Conversion Counting

When browser and server events arrive simultaneously, conversions are now deduplicated even more reliably — no more double counting.

Improved Privacy Compliance

Consent data is now forwarded to all platforms across channels. CCPA opt-out settings are automatically respected.

Platform Improvements

More stable connections to Google Ads and Snapchat, improved data quality through optimised contact data processing and support for three additional event types: ViewCart, RemoveFromCart and Refund.

February 2026v1.8

Security & Fraud Prevention

Automatic Integrity Checks

New protection mechanisms continuously monitor the consistency of your billing and account data. Irregularities are detected and resolved immediately.

Enhanced Access Protection

Suspicious access patterns are now automatically detected and blocked — for even better protection of your tracking data.

Server Security

Comprehensive improvements to our server security: stricter transport encryption, reduced attack surface and additional protection layers.

February 2026v1.7

GA4 Tracking Improvements & Dual-Track Dedup

Cross-source deduplication

In dual-track mode (web pixel + webhooks active), Purchase and InitiateCheckout events are now deduplicated across channels. If the web pixel has already sent an event to all platforms, the repeated send is automatically skipped. This reliably prevents duplicate conversions in GA4, Meta, TikTok and all other platforms.

GA4 session_id in Measurement Protocol

GA4 events now include the session_id parameter. Google Analytics 4 can correctly assign events to a session, improving the quality of session reports and conversion paths in the GA4 dashboard.

Deterministic GA4 fallback without web pixel

In webhook-only mode, a stable derived client ID is used for GA4, so repeated purchases by the same customer are correctly recognised. Guest orders without a customer account receive an order-specific ID.

February 2026v1.6

GA4 Client ID Persistence

New cookie _sp_ga4_cid

The web pixel now stores the GA4 Client ID in its own first-party cookie _sp_ga4_cid. This ensures the same Client ID is reliably transmitted to Google Analytics 4, even when the _ga cookie is blocked by ad blockers or browser restrictions.

February 2026v1.5

Deferred Downgrades

Plan downgrade at period end

Downgrades to lower plans now take effect at the end of the billing period. All features of your current plan remain available until then.

Cancel downgrade

Scheduled downgrades can be cancelled at any time before they take effect.

February 2026v1.4
